    Email turn notifications not working

      My friends and I strictly use this site for asynchronous play and have been somewhat frustrated by the fact that the "Receive an email when it's your turn after a delay of X minutes" account preference appears to have no effect whatsoever and has not since we began using the site in August 2021. We have all confirmed our email addresses (gmail domain) and have checked our junk mail. I could not find any other threads that mentioned this, and the only thing I saw on github was regarding other improvements to the email notification system with no mention of this sort of issue.

      Is there just something very unintuitive or specific about how this setting works, or is this a known issue and it is just not working?
