      As a new user, I am somewhat confused about how the timers work. For example, if a game says 3 days + 2 hours per move, my original assumption was that this was the allotted time per move. I now realize that is not correct, but I am not sure my current understanding is correct. I think it means each player gets a total of 3 days for the entire game, and an additional two hours is added every time it is that player's move. Is that correct? If the player moves in 30 minutes, do they get to keep the remaining 90 minutes?

      Also, what counts as a turn? In Power Grid if there are no fast bids, do I get two additional hours every time it is my turn to bid? With fast bids, is every player on the clock simultaneously? Same question for Container: when someone's ship goes to the island, is every other player on the clock simultaneously?

      Thank you!

        Since no one has replied, I figured I would reply to my own post so anyone new who has similar questions can see the answer (whether they knew they had the question or not)! This answer is based on my impressions after playing part of a single game of Power Grid with a time control of 1 day + 2 hours per move.

        In the example given above, 3 days + 2 hours per move, I think time is indeed added to every player's clock every time they are asked to make a decision, and if a player uses less than 2 hours, their total time left increases, EXCEPT that their total time left will never increase above the original start time--in this case, 3 days.

          @hersco yes correct.

          3 day total time, each time you make a move you gain 2 hours, never going over 3 days
