BUG : Select how many players, mid game

I have 4 games stuck in the midgame.
Instead of normal command buttons I get "Pick the number of players" with buttons for 2 , 3 or 4 players. None of these buttons do anything.
I'm unable to take a turn, as all the normal turn buttons are not displayed.
