We definitely need shorter game times!

I am really tired of players agreeing to play fast and then taking 20 mins to make a move. I am playing today with "Kappels" and he is way too slow. We need to be able to set 5 mins/5 min games. So much time wasted on people who are not committed. It sux and something should be done about it.

If it possible I suggest update timers, or create a new option - 'challenge: express game'

        with possible settings:

        • Time per player per all game: 60 or 90 minutes

        • Additional time per move: 0 (zero) minutes

        • Game loss: after (5 or 15 or 20) minutes of inactivity

But - to be honest - how many players will be using these special timers? There is a risk that not many, and there will be a lot of abandoned games.

I'm in complete agreement here. It might lead to dropped games, but honestly dropped games happen anyway. I think I've only completed two games where at least one player hasn't dropped, and one of those was a two-player game.

And honestly, it might prevent dropped games. People drop games when someone else is taking a really long time and then they forget about it or lose interest. If it gave us the option for 5 minute (or even 3 minute?) turns, it would deter people from joining who don't want to play until the end, thus making it easier to complete a game without a drop.

I'm curious to know what percentage of 3+ player games are played to completion without any drops.
